Driving Tutors

In an effort to make the whole process of training as easy as possible we aim to give you as much information as possible. This is your chance to see who our Tutors and also a little bit about them. We are a friendly bunch and look forward to training you.

Barbara Parker

Based in Southampton, joining RoADAR in the 1990's and is the Chief Tutor (Cars). Barbara holds IAM and RoSPA qualifications and has a Gold grade pass. In her time with the Group Barbara has been an active member and Tutor.

Paul Buckthorpe

Paul has been involved with Advanced Driving Groups for about 15 years and was previously an Observer/Senior Observer with Southampton IAM. He joined the Hampshire RoADA Group 4 years ago and attained a Gold pass, which then lead on to become an Tutor with the group. As well as doing quite a high road mileage each year he also enjoys driving on race circuits and attends a few Track Days each year. His current cars include a Smart ForTwo diesel and a Mercedes SL.

Paul Moignard

I am based in Salisbury where I work as a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor. I've taken Advanced Driving tests with both RoSPA , where I achieved the Gold Pass, and the Institute of Advanced Motorist (IAM). I'm also a DVSA Fleet Driver Trainer, which means that I am qualified to assess and train company drivers.

Peter Wright

Peter holds a Gold Grade pass. He has been driving cars since 1967 and currently has a Mazda MX5. Previous cars include Triumph Vitesse, Austin Healey Sprite, Triumph TR4, and Lotus Cortina among some more mundane machinery. He has also served as an Observer/Senior Observer with Portsmouth IAM.
